Does anyone have any notes on techniques concerning tension and the building of tension in Witness?

No we haven't really looked at the tension, more just the statement weir makes about modern societies values and acceptance to violence

yes through the use of music, camera angles close ups ect and so on? we just finished the video i gotta write a speech help or notes would be helpful

thats strange you should say that Argonaut. We didn't actually notice that of Samuel. What we did notice was the eerie silence leading up to the murder. The scared look on his face and close ups. The sound of Samuel's breathing. We had an essay question as i recall something like How does the film Witness create tension? I delved into mis-en-scene, music and camera shots as the techniques. A word of advice - don't try to re-tell the story ( alot of people in my class did and they lost marks)
