im just wondering if anyone could tell me which text book is the best for yr11 and 12 Mathematics

They're old, from the 1970's and 1980's I believe. But they've plenty of examples when studying a certain topic. I would recommend them yes. But also, I would recommend 'Excel', and 'Understand Year 12 can't remember'. I used a wide range of books so that the idea of a particular mathematical idea would be embedded in my brain.

if you want to sharpen up your skills and looking for a challenge look no further
get the cambridge for yr 11 and yr 12

Use search function to search for other similar threads. There's Cambridge and Fitzpatrick.

you can buy fitzpatrick in co op bookshops, i had a lot of trouble finding it so i settled on cambridge

that's a good thing though isn't it? having many questions for specific mathematical ideas or concepts? do they still use SB and KE'z books at school?

The first set of questions in an exercise are no brainers (e.g Differentiate cos 3x) but the later ones mean business (e.g Find maximum angle of elevation of R = V2 (sin2θ)/g if V and g are constants).

It's good if I had the time.

maths in focus...dont waste your money on that =) only one page (the challenge page) of each chapter is decent.

unfortunantly, my school does use maths in focus and thats the reason why im searching for a better text book
