I think the bba102 would be useful, since the lecture slides would be too brief to go on alone ... just try purchasing a second hand text. But maybe if you go to the lecture and take down good notes to accompany the slide, then you wont need the text. ..

I would say definately get the bba111 textbook. Im pretty sure its the same edition, so go second hand.

With acst101, the maths of finance textbook was helpful. You dont really need the other one, dont buy the package, get the techniques book second hand.

for acst, the uni expects u to get ur exemption. so, the lecturers should provide u with enough materials to be able to do well

Well, at Macq they provide adequate material. Whether you will be able to do well is unknown. You see, our courses are very difficult, and imo much harder than just doing the external exams (with the exception of the "easy" exemptions eg. 107 and 108).

I have Econ111 and Acst101.. I want to sell the LOT. I also have Comp115 (from 2003). Maybe they'll reuse the prescribed texts from then, someday.

The thing is, I don't care if I sell it or not. I've done the course, and made it though. The 100 or so (probably 60 or 70) doesn't matter in the bigger picture. It's a collector's item. Maybe I've been on holidays too long :p

To echo flyin, I didn't use my textbooks for acst101 and it was my best mark (I got a D)

acst and stat don't require the prescribed texts (except the binder thingys for stat)
