Following the syllabus is important but if everyone did that then everyone would be getting 100's. Its more about understanding the concepts behind the syllabus dot-points and being able to apply these to the real world and moulding them under pressure to hsc exam questions.

I used a 5 multi-subject book and wrote my notes for each module in each section. I hand wrote them and used the textbooks Jacaranda Physics, Excel Physics and Physics in Contexts for my notes and diagrams and for practicals used Dot Point Physics and Dot Point Practicals. The key thing is though once the concepts have been understood and the dot point done, go onto past papers. It is all about learning the concept and exam technique.

Physics is about understanding the concept because then you can mold your answers to 6-7 marker questions which involve you incorporating your knowledge from a combination of modules (which is increasingly starting to happen). Also its about exam technique and how you structure and answer your questions.

If you write too much you're potentially making yourself lose marks where that time could've been spent better elsewhere. The key thing is learning when you've gained the possible marks so u can stop writing. If you continue writing when you've already gotten the marks then you could also possibly contradict yourself later on and so LOSE MARKS DUE TO WRITING MORE!

Yar, do notes by dot points and only put in enough info for a 6 mark response as that's the highest number of marks responses are worth :)

I think what OP means is who's notes do you think are the most Ahmad-like notes for Physics? Are there any notes in the resource section which are up to that standard.

In regard to this thread here:

I am wondering which one is the BEST resource - which one have you downloaded/tried and how did you rate it?
I notice that most of them go by the syllabus dot points, i understand this is vital when making notes?
Thanks for your advice
the best notes out there are ones you make yourself. don't be lazy and rely totally on others' notes. you absorb and understand information once when you write it and again when you read over it. it's much easier to absorb and comprehend stuff youve written yourself. by all means, use others' notes for reference for your own notes, but keep in mind that people who do their own notes generally get higher than those who use others'.
