i read this series when i was younger and re-read most of them last year. I think these are excellent books as well- well written with an interesting plot. 
Too bad the movie was terrible, but i don't let a bad movie impact my opinions of the book (otherwise i'd probably never be able to read books that have been turned into movies!).

what did you think of the ending? i thought it was good but a little crazy, like all over the place, but then i havent read it in ages (mental note; find and read again)
