Who represents the larger proportion of transactions in FOREX, importers or investors?

Speculators clearly dominate, but what about the other two?

but seeing that it's not in any textbooks or journal articles whatsoever such a detail apparently isn't required for the hsc course.

Investors. If I can remember correctly approx. 95% of all transactions on the FOREX are speculators. Hedge funds and what not.
