Excuse me for being stupid...

But can someone explain this:

"The study develops students' understanding of the relationship between representation and meaning."

I'm studying Ted Hughes, Birthday Letters. So by that statement, I'm meant to understand that there's a difference between what Hughes' presents, and what he actually means?

I dont study Ted Hughes but it IS a part of "Telling the Truth"...so let's see...

The relationship is the difference between the truth and the way it is presented to us, through medium, form and style. The way it is shown (namely techniques) affects the way meaning is conveyed and shaped. The meaning in this case would lie within the "truth" or rather, the way it is manipulated through form.

Did I make sense? lol. If not, excuse me, but it is 1:30am..hahaha

Kind of made sense.

Yes it is 1:30am... I didn't expect a reply at this time :)

Edit: It does make sense... just takes me a while to comprehend... given I need my sleep
