Equal volumes of four 0.1 mol L−1 acids were titrated with the same sodium hydroxide
solution.
Which one requires the greatest volume of base to change the colour of the indicator?
(A) Citric acid
(B) Acetic acid
(C) Sulfuric acid
(D) Hydrochloric acid

This is the 2010 question 7 answer is A

I was thinking that titration has only got to do with the amount of protons it donates instead of the strength?

Can someone explain this to me thank you.

Also another question that is not related to titration
In which of the following reactions does the metal atom show the greatest change in
oxidation state?
(A) MnO4− to Mn2+
(B) MnO2 to Mn(OH)3
(C) PbO2 to PbSO4
(D) VO2+ to VO2+

2010 question 12
I thought the answer was c as the Pb moved from 4 to 10? so an increase in 6?
But then the answer is a where the Mn moved from +7 to +2?

In the HSC you assume that all the neutralisation reactions where either one or both of the species is strong, the reaction goes to completion. So sine you have at least one strong component in each reaction being the NaOH, all reactions go to completion. Thus answer is a since you need more NaOH to neutralise all the protons.

in c, the so4 is the sulphate ion so 2- meaning pb goes from 4+ to 2+
