Transferring to wipe WAM (1 Viewer)

So basically I'm currently enrolled at usyd doing a degree in economics and majoring finance and economics. Problem is I hate economics and my wam is, well crap (low credit average). Just finishing up final exams and I'm doing terrible due to being a lazy bum. Massive massive wake up call! So basically I'm considering transferring to unsw to do commerce in accounting and finance. Is it worth while? The way I see it is I get a fresh start and I'm doing units I enjoy however I'm down $8000 in hecs (not fussed about money if it means the difference between getting a job and being unemployed). Thoughts suggestions etc please

I'd say the concern is not that your WAM is somewhat lacking, but that you hate your degree. Definitely change to something you actually enjoy, a degree that you hate is likely to lead you only into a job that you hate.
