I'm very reliant on memorising for English, so for trials I've realised that I do not have enough time to memorise a creative however I do have a memorised discursive. My question is, what tips are there in transforming a discursive into an imaginative during the exam. Could I make it seem as If a person is reading my discursive through a book? I don't want to end it off with a cliche 'It was all a dream' at the end. I'm just wondering if it is possible if I can adapt my discursive into a creative, because If I can't and I have to write a creative for trials, im pretty much dead thats all

In terms of your idea to incorporate your discursive piece as an element of a creative piece, I think that a way through which you could do this is to treat your discursive as the core element of an imaginative piece that is to be surrounded by other secondary events. For instance, a brief speech that is inspired by your discursive piece which you may place towards the end of your piece could constitute the culmination of your character's struggles throughout their journey.
