Trig/Bearings (1 Viewer)

Does anyone have a step by stpe guide as to trig problems with bearings. For some reason its the only thin i cant do with trig. My teacher gave me some extra work from some 2 unit book with bearings and i can't do any of it.

Does anyone know of any good textbooks as to bearings?

no idea about textbooks but the best way to deal with bearings is to always draw a diagram. draw a mini compass if that helps. 0/360^o is north, and then (going clockwise) 90^o is east, 180^o is south, and 270^o is west. also, always pay attention to where the bearing is from as well.

hey there

i cant give you a step by step, or advise a text book but i have one piece of advice in regards to the use of trigonometry with bearings.

DRAW A DIAGRAM
everytime you plot a point, draw your little compass (displaying n/s/e/w) and fill in the angles you know, remember each quadrant is 90 degrees. but draw it out, it allows you to be able to see whic angles you have and which side lengths so you can figure out which ratio's you have to use in your calculations.,

OP: same! I don't get bearings but I get all the other trig stuff. It's really confusing how my teacher sometimes writes the answers on the board but can't explain how she got the answer..and when she tries, it's different every time :S

I have my trials in 2 weeks and need HELP! :O
