OK!

Lets cut the crap and get to the point. Im thinking about tutoring some kids in year 12 (2009) and year 11(2009) and possible year 10(2009) next year.

What kind of qualification do I need. eg what kind of mark should I aim for..

I can achieve a band 6 in maths (ext 1) but I dont think I will aim for band 6 maybe band 5 .....

depending how I will go this hsc... but band 6 achievable...

so please help me out here.. plus how much should I charge.

this thread is full of fail.

95+ in a subject to tutor for $20 - (no experience)

Anything less u can scrape $15 maybe? to start off.

but seriously tutoring with a band 5 ( or even low band 6) is pretty pathetic.

Agreed with the above.

95+ = $20

95+ with some experience (a year or two) = $25

90 < x < 95 = $15

90 < x < 95 with some experience = $20

The price must reflect your increasing experience as well...

Less than 90 = $10 or no tutoring at all.

Less than 90 + experience = $15

Elaborating on what WW said,
We have two maths teachers at our school.
One did 4U maths, the other did 2U. The 4U maths teacher is dreadful. He talks to the board. Copies all notes out of a text book. Has no confidence, and is generally quite crap. The 2U teacher on the other hand, is brilliant. He really helps us understand everything, isn't reliant on notes and makes the subject interesting.
i dont see ur point
