Hey,

I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of the points that I would need to achieve to obtain a UAI of above 95...
The subjects I am studying are:

English Advanced
English Extension 1
Mathematics
Mathematics Extension 1
Business Studies
Economics
Chemistry

Thank You in Advance! :D

Thats a general question. Maybe it will be easier if you tell us in which order is your best subjects, and what you generally get for each subject. Going through the UAI estimator, you will get 95 if you obtain the following (Remember, one wont count):

English Advanced:85
English Extension 1:38
Mathematics: 90
Mathematics Extension 1:44
Business Studies: 90
Economics:89
Chemistry:73

If you ask me, those marks seem very low to get a 95. I think the program might have stuffed up. Might need a second opinion :/

Business 95+...talk about the scaling...jeez
Maths: 95+
M EXT: 44
Eng: 85
Eng EXT: 44

in ur case, i would probably drop biz and just go with the other units, biz sucks hard when it comes to scaling, and u need to be in top 5% in the state to do good

i used the uai as 89, cos every yr the demand and std increases

english std=82
chem=76
physics82
business=86
modern=86

after scaling it should give u around 70 for each subjects which gives u an uai of high 80s and possible low 90s

i took general maths out cos of scaling, but in order to get the mark of 70 after scaling, u need to get around high 80s

for lower scaling subjects such as business studies, do you really need to be in the top 5% of the state..?

I suppose if you get high band 5's and one or two band 6's in those subjects, you would be able to get a UAI over 95.
But sometimes it ain't as easy as it sounds :p
