hi i goto Sydney Boys High School here are my raw overall marks and ranks

2u English (ADv) mark: 83/100 rank: 21/189
3u English EXT mark: 41/50 rank: 22/
2u Legal Studies mark: 78/100 rank: 12/21 ( teach is predicting i will be high 80's low-90's for HSC thus jumping more ranks)
2u Ancient History: mark:76 rank:6/12
2u Maths mark: 65/100 rank:50/75 (i suck at maths)
3u Maths mark: 28/50 rank:128/159 (once again i suck at maths)

my principal says i will make it if i raise my math marks

Yes, i know this person is from Sydney Boys, but he/she is a below average student in all of the courses. You must also put that into consideration. The school doesn't tell you everything, but an indication of how tough the competition is. Therefore, if you are below average in most or all of your course, then you'll be around the low 90 area.

yes i realise im below average in maths.
however i am predicted by teachers to do very well in english, extension, legal studies and ancient history for the exam.
i've been working consistently in maths so hopefully i can do well too

just aim for these rough marks i suppose and you''l be fine

86 for maths 3u, 88 for maths 2u 88 for english adv, 45 for english ext1, 86 for ancient and 88 for legal

to get 95 in our school, i think you need to come in top half of the grade in overall, which should be fine for you, considering your english is pretty good
