Uni or gap year (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone...
Just wondering who went to uni first after school and who deferred and went to uni after a gap year?
Also if you were happy with the decision you made about taking a gap year or going to uni straight?

You get almost 4 months holiday without a gap year, why bother being a year behind?

Yeah I agree, I did first year uni. Then for summer holidays went travelling around europe.

i think gap years are worthwhile if you have something lined up to occupy you for most of the year (eg a job or volunteering or something)

but the average trip to europe or whatever won't occupy an entire year, so i think it would be worthwhile having something else planned as well...otherwise it will be a year in front of the tv

i'm happy i went to uni following after the hsc -- after 4 months break and a fair bit of supermarket work i was pretty much ready to hit uni
