Hi, just wondering on what dates do universitys generally start in 2013, and when are the holidays/breaks throughout the course and how long are they?
I'm looking to do commerce/economics/law depending on marks.

Generally the semester dates are similar between universities but there are still differences so keep this in mind.

I'll post the dates for USYD in 2013:

Sem 1: 4 March - 29 June (1 week mid-sem break in between)
Sem 2: 29 June - 23 November (1 week mid-sem break in between)

So Semester 1 next year is from 4 March to 1 July (with 1 week mid-sem break)
Semester 2 is 22 July to 19 November (with 1 week mid-sem break)

Those dates are subject to final approval.
