Does anyone know how to unstream streaming vids off the net so you can save them on the computer?

Thanks.

Well, LIVE streaming videos probably require programs to do it. However, things like movie trailers or music videos can usually be taken by viewing the source code. Once there, find where the file is streaming from and then set up a HTML file linking to it to take it. Any site in paarticular so I can check?

It's a Smallville trailer from this Italian site.

http://www.cyclops.it/Smallville/trailers3.htm

Go to the bottom. 3rd last one titled "Talisman".

Although when you click on it, another window opens and then it opens up media player to play it.

Thanks for the help. I might try doing the things you said for some other vids on the net. Here's hoping I can actually do it. :)

I might bug you with some other questions later though ... might need some more help.

Okay. Paste the following into Notepad:

<a href="http://www.cyclops.it/Smallville/trailers/trl320.wmv">Right-Click This!</a>

Then, save the file as File1.html (or whatever, just make sure it is .html).
Open the file, right-click "Right-Click This!" and click "Save file as..." or "Save location as..." or whatever it is. Choose where to save it.
I did this one by opening the file in Windows Media Player, right-clicking it and clicking properties. This gave me the address. I made up a simple html file to link to it. If you want to get the rest of the trailers from that particular site, open them in Windows Media Player and get the address like I said before. Then paste the address where it says "http://www.cyclops.it/Smallville/trailers/trl320.wmv" in the notepad document and follow the same steps ou used for Talisman.

Cheers!

I'm on my iBook so I had to do stuff differently. My other computer doesn't seem to want to use the internet.

I open up Word and created a new web page. Creatd a hyperlink for the link and then opened it in my web browser and right click save.

Thanks for the help.
