UNSW commerce transfer HELP !!!! (1 Viewer)

Here is the full story:

I am currently in 2nd year doing bachelor of economics at unsw. Last year I tried to transfer to bachelor of commerce or bachelor of commerce/economics through UAC and IPT and it ended in failure. I am currently stuck in a degree that i don't know if i'm going to be employed. Currently my WAM is 69.50 and my atar was 90.20 (2014)

What are my chances of transfer to com or com/eco via UAC if I manage to pull up to a wam of 72 and above. I asked the student centre and they said there are no leniency for IPT transfers, so my only chance is transfering via UAC. I am planning to try to transfer during the mid year.


Does the UAC look at WAM or ATAR or both?, If i can get a wam above 72 will i transfer to com or com/eco.

Please help out an anxious colleague? Thanx

It doesn't matter which degree you get either way, you're not gonna stand out to employers if you don't have good extracurriculars/work experience. If you do, then great you shouldn't be worrying about which bachelor of business/eco/comm degree you get, unless you really want to specialise in something specific to only one degree, e.g. accounting can be only done in commerce i think, but finance and a lot of other commerce majors can be done in economics.

You need at least 75 if you want to transfer, and you can tranfer to either one
