I'm not religious, but I don't think that's a fair thing to say. These people are extremists.
There are always going to be some people who take things to the extreme, with or without religion.

The whole "biased journalism" argument is such a load of crap.

It's meant to represent muslims as a whole as "hating the west" by presenting the opinions of one extremist. That's the same as saying white people are racist because of the KKK. extremists gonna be extremists, not much you can do about it unless you want to go full police state. It's just such hasty generalization that "all muslims are bad because x amount don't like the west."
