That's a tad high compared to this year's cut-off of around 95-96. Where did you hear that from?

The cut-off is always high, 95 is the absolute minimum that you need. Theres is a lot of competition in Pharmacy, you'll also need a STAT score of around 160 from memory.

USYD have opened up more spaces for BPharm but most of which go towards their Masters program (a 2year postgrad for bachelor degree holders). To be honest, you can probably make it into full-fee paying but I don't recommend it. I've seen many sites that have quoted that the graduate wage is $30k, one of the lowest for the science field. Being a 4 year degree you'll end up paying around 80k, this sets you back 2 years of full time work salary.

Just remember if you don't make it in theres always MPharm.
- Credit average minimum.
- Work experience
- Science degree with relevant subjects.
- 2005; 180 applicants, 40 successful.

You need a minimum D average in your first year to transfer

I believe the minimum STAT score is 149, but it's in proportion with your UAI. If you get a high UAI, you can afford to have a lower STAT score, and vice-versa. From memory, the cut-off this year was 95.40.

Thats very unlikely.

Only if they were Fee-Paying.

Yeah, I don't think so either. My friend got 95.20, and he wasn't offered in the later rounds.

Hmm really? thats quite odd. I doubt they do have access as well. Well similarly as you Tennille, one of my friends got 95.15 and missed out. Very peculiar.... Im rather suprised it stayed rather high depsite there being now 250 places in the course ...

Yeah. However, many people who don't get into medicine have pharmacy as their second preference. Maybe that's why the UAI cut-off is still hgh.

I see a lot more girls than guys doing pharmacy. But I haven't been to any of the pharmacy lectures to see if that's really true.

I think you may be right, providing they're part of the broadway scheme.

I just wanted to ask...

Assumed knowledge for B Pharmacy: maths, chemistry plus biology or physics

I only did maths and biology though... I didn't do chemistry. Does that mean I won't get in (or even be considered)? Or that it is strongly recommended that I take a bridging course or something?

Before results came out I thought there was NO way I could make it in, but I think there is a tiny bit of hope now... my results were WAY better than expected. :)

So, any help at all?
