Wanting to do advance english. (1 Viewer)

I am in year 10 and i'm failing standard english. The ONLY reason why i am failing is because my school mostly only does presentations which involves talking to the class. I get really nervous and get red hot when it is my turn to present. I do really well in essay writing etc, the only problem is presentation. I reckon that i can do advance english if i stop being scared to present. How can i over come this 'fear' of standing in front of the class and presenting.

That's weird that there are so many presentations haha.

I think it helps to make a light-hearted joke in the beginning of your speech to lighten up the audience which makes them more attentive and willing to listen to you --> you feel a bit more confident and comfortable in delivering if you can see people are enjoying your speech

If you're nervous though you can try just using a lot of gestures and movements to at least create an illusion of confidence
