I was reading from the news sites and I came across an article which said:
"THE Prime Minister has said today that the need to secure oil supplies and to help protect US interests in the Middle East are major factors in Australia's continuing military presence in Iraq."

I was reading the article and a handful of the comments posted on the blog. They were very interesting and they surprised me a bit. There were mixed comments. Some people had "I told you so" comments whilst others said "their excuses change all the time".
There's stuff on Yahoo on Defence Minister, Brendan Nelson.
