What Are Some Good Preliminary Textbooks? (1 Viewer)

Hi i am doing the following subjects for year 11

3 unit maths
Adv English
Chemistry
Biology
Physics
Economics

Can you guys recommend and good textbooks to use for each subject and if you can please provide a PDF download link if possible.

nah boy. good luck getting a pdf for them on this site.

Try asking some Year 12s you are friendly with at your school for some of their physical copies of their old Year 11 textbooks. Some of them will say no but if you ask enough, you'll find something.

Alternatively, you can pick them up for cheap on Gumtree (~$10-$20) and as the curriculm doesn't change much, getting some older copies should be fine. Even if they don't match the curriculum, it will be pretty similar content anyway.

English-depends on your school.
Maths- either Fitzpatrick or Cambridge.
Economics- Yr 11 Economics by Tim Riley

For Physics: Jacaranda Physics - 3rd ed; I have both the Prelim & HSC texts for sale (Andriessen et al).

Adv English - Depends on your texts.
Chemistry - Conquering chemistry for year 11 and 12.
Biology - Biology in focus for year 11 and 12.
Economics - I used dixon and updated economics for year 12 that combination works well.
Like always these are suggestions, check with your school for what you need for senior study.
