I was happy with my UAI but they did weird things calculating it.

I got
40 for English extension 2
40 for History Extension
44 for studies of relgion I
87 for drama
85 for advanced english

at least these were my lowest subjects.

I did 12 units and they didnt count English Extension 2, which i thought scaled well, and studies of religion which also scales up. I got 92.75 but I can't help thinking that if they counted studies of religion my UAI would of been higher. SAM took out drama and it gave my 94ish.

Did anyone else find studies of relgion I scaled badly.

Music 1 didn't count for me. Not surprised at all. But its interesting, because I got a band 5 in music, but I got band 4s in chem, english and modern hist, but they all counted. Just goes to prove how crappily music scales.

I did 11 units, with the extra being maths extension 1.

In this I got only 38/50, and that was enough to make this unit count over one unit of Ancient History, in which I got 89/100.

I think that AH scaling so poorly is kinda unfair, it's not easy to get top marks in it.

Can anyone explain this to me? i got 83 for music 2 and 81 for drama. I checked these subjects out on SAM and it said that music 2 has a reasonably high positive scaling while drama has a negative scaling. However in calculating my UAI this year UAC counted drama over music 2. Please help! I am very confused

Umm, I think it's because in this particular year, there were many people who get in the upper bands in Music 2. Because of that, you would have been in a lower percentile with an 83 than if you got an 81 in Drama, so maybe thats why your Drama mark was worth more, because you comparatively did better in Drama than Music.
