Hey everyone,
this is for my MW as I am in the process of editing. I just wanted to see what everyone's understanding of being "strong" is - lets take this on an emotional/mental understanding.

"I suppose I have found it easier to identify with the characters who verge upon hysteria, who were frightened of life, who were desperate to reach out to another person. But these seemingly fragile people are the strong people really."
- Tennessee Williams

Is someone strong if they let go of life? Is calling it quits or telling yourself when enough really is enough, a strong act?

Thanks in advanced!

I think of strength more as an ambition to withstand and endure life's hardships, maintain integrity during times of weakness and fight for what you love most: not a selfless succumbing to difficulty and hardship. In short, a pretty masculine version of what it means to be strong.

But I think you can distinguish between the realistic acceptance (knowing when to call it quits) and weakness of the will
