Our class is going to the Frankenstein /Bladerunner Study Day in June at the Tom Mann Theatre - a whole day on the texts with a series of different uni lecturers from differnt angles. Seemed like a better idea than a 50 min hit with just someone else's teacher which it what you get at some of the English days on offer around the place. We went to the 'Belonging 'Study Day with Peter Skrzynecki at the Tom Mann Theatre (in the same lecture series) and it was very useful. We had 4 lectures on different ideas about belonging and Skrzynecki gave a very detailed talk on his poems and answered questions about his life and sense of belonging/not-belonging. Anyone know of other days that are coming up that might be good?
