so what is actuarial studies ?
Actuarial studies is a broadly based commerce discipline that involves the study of mathematics, statistics, accounting, economics and finance for application in life insurance, general insurance, health insurance, superannuation, funds management, banking and management consulting. Actuarial Studies involves the analysis of financial and quantitative risk and the application of risk models to long term financial management in the areas stated above.

what job does it lead to ?
If your gonna do it, your aim should be to become an Actuary... otherwise [Actuarial Analyst, Business Analyst, Credit Analyst, Insurance Analyst, Superannuation Advisor, etc]

They are a highly paid and respected profession but I heard it is a tuff course. Garry pretty much said but they can also lead into other careers in finance and maths as they are considered very skilled.

You have to be pretty damn good at maths to undertake actuarial studies. Was so close to doing it, but just couldn't see myself doing too well.
