My older sister finishing in year 10 and make a bummer out of her life has compelled me to pursue my higher school certificate.

From my mums and dads side only one of my cousins has completed the HSC but his results weren't that flash.

I feel that this topic is worth delibarating, so feel free to post up your individual comments

Well your only choice is to make your HSC flash. And that when you go to university that it was a good choice to have a reasonable / good life

It seems you are already motivated. Rememeber that as long as you give 100% through the entire year, you won't end up in regret. Whatever your UAI turns out to be, I can guarantee you'll be satisfied if you put in the effort. Some people are natural quick-learners and some are a little slower. But nobody is that dumb. You can do it if you're prepared to work hard, and always believe in yourself.

Good luck. :)

I want to have the freedom to choose the uni course I want to do, so that means I need the best mark I can get to maximise my choices.

Good on you, by the way, for choosing to complete your HSC. By the sounds of it, you seem ready to give it your best shot, and that's what's important. If you do the HSC, you may as well take it on fists up. :)

Its people like you who thankfully take the stress out of the HSC

What would one suggest in order to relax (I mean deep relaxation)?

My parents support me and are always encouraging me to work harder these holidays, when hsc results are out, I'm definitely gotta thank my parents for their contribution to my UAI. :karate:

Damn straight. :p

Relax by light exercising, occasional TV-watching, reading for fun (instead of prescribed texts) and whatever else you can think of that won't get you drunk, drugged, injured or home after 12 am. Sleep is important.

Family, teachers and friends are always supportive of academic achievements and help me to strive towards achieving the best results possible. Motivated by the options the HSC brings for further education i.e. uni etc.

To see that the future ahead is bright, and light will always remain at the end of the tunnel.

And now, for something a little less figurative.
To be successful, career wise.
To conquer a few of the class A- graders.
To impress the family.

I come from a very laid-back, easy going outdoor-loving family.
Laid-back means that i dont like work, i like relaxing.
Easy-Going means that i dont like straining my brain. Similar to laid-back.
Outdoor-loving means that i'd rather not be indoors (where study is at).

I just wanna remain who i am whilst getting the best marks i could and getting into my desired uni course (science, law, arts or engineering)

lol.. i think its just my fear of failing. I hate the feeling when you get back results, and it doesnt really "sychronise" with the your abilities. I've been already hit hard with not so good results, so imma start working like crazy.

Hey mitsui, there's no harm in cramming.
As long as it pays off well, you need not motivation to get you where you want.
That's gotta be impressive.

if you cram everything in at the last minute, wouldn't you have it real clear in your head the next day?
