Actually, hyperlinks and hypertexts aren’t the same, though they are intertwined.
This here is a hyperlink – Hyperlinks are the individual bits of navigation between pages or page sections. Each hyperlink, when activated, will send the user to another document, or to a different part of the same document. It’s actually not as simple as that, but that’s all the syllabus cares about.
This whole page is hypertext, and it contains lots of hyperlinks. Put simply, hypertext is an otherwise textual document that contains hyperlinks. Hyperlinks are also an integral part of hypermedia.
