This is the one on 'winkler method'.

0.6 moles of thiosulfate added - how many moles of oxygen

and whenever I backtrack through the three equations, i keep getting 0.3 mol O2!!!!

WHY?! Please Help!!

2S2O3 = 0.6 moles
I2 = 0.3 moles
Therefore MnO(OH)2 = 0.3 moles
Therefore O2 = 0.15 moles

You interpreted the final equation wrong. Thiosulfate is on the reactants side, not the products side.

At least, that's what I'm guessing.
