As HSC is getting closer I'm getting really scared of what ATAR I might get, and how it may affect my future employment. While thinking of my future job, I don't really know what I'm going to do. What course would you recommend that would ensure good employment rates and probably atleast a $100k+ salary? But not requiring a very high ATAR (<95)? I was thinking of going in the IT or business direction, what course do you think I should pursue?

You are very unlikely to get 100k straight starting out...

Do what you like! No job is perfect every job out their has stress and it will forever exist. Don't be stressed or scared! You'll get through this with me mate i will guarantee you! Even if you don't achieve your GOLD atar it's not the end of the world. HSC is a way of preparing you for uni as i have heard it only gets extremely harder in UNI. So don't worry, don't get that atar? you can do pathways or go into a course that is related to the course you ideally wanted to do. There are many ways to achieve goals in todays society :). Everyone is different.

Appreciate.

Not sure if srs
Rude so rude. Don't be a D@ck head to people who wish for an opinion. 'not sure if srs' such quote that can insinuate such horrific meanings. Learn to APPRECIATE the community you live with. Give a reliable answer that can give him some guidance! You're not first material mate.

I think OP meant 100k at least sometime after you graduate as you move to senior positions. And to answer your question... well there arent that many that offer good employment rates + high pay + <95 atar... (unless I'm wrong)
Probably commerce since you can get in UNSW with bonus points and you could make A LOT depending on what you get into (e.g. investment banking). Although employment rates arent exactly 'high' and you're not guaranteed a job.. (again, correct me if I'm wrong)

Most of the obvious choices get to 100k+ eventually

If you want 100k+ it's not as much about what area you're working as it is being a leader/manager in that area
Even teachers can hit that if you get a head position

Basically go to Usyd and do whatever

If you want to get rich quickly then win the lottery or do a commerce or economics degree!
