First of all i just wondering which of the following subjects scale higher : Software, IPT, Biology. Please rank from high scale to low scale(1-3).

and also which of those above subjects should i drop for HSC 2010.
Note: i am doing average in software and ranked 4th out of 15. At the moment i am doing slightly (just a bit) less than average in biology and ranked 15th out of 39. I am doing really well in IPT and ranked 1st out of 19.

btw i plan to go to University to study something within the IT industry.

Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks

1) Biology
2 SDD
3) IPT

I think that you should drop Biology (even though I really like it). You're doing worst in it and you have more of a passion for computing. :)

I am doing the following subjects currently: (half yearly exam mark)
Standard English (58%)
General Mathematics (90%)
Business Studies (66%)
Biology (56%)
Software Design & Development (52%)
IPT (75%)

I've heard people say that you should keep at least one science. Is that true, since Biology is the only science subject i am doing. Does it matter?

I can definitely improve in business studies and english.

Difficulties:
- biology: there are a heap of things to understand and remember. I do find it interesting.
- software: most of it is straight forward for me. i find dealing with algorithms difficult at times. Otherwise i enjoy it and its quite simple.
- IPT: simple and straight forward. few things to understand but due to my interest in computers, i find it easy to comprehend most of the things. at times i do find it quite boring else its enjoyable.
- business: most the stuff is common sense but can be difficult at times. Otherwise i am enjoying it

unless you are a shitcunt and decide to play stupid internet games all day in IPT you will suffer the effects of "poor scaling" while you leave people like me who actually got an easy band 6 with a little bit of effort.
competition guys.

LOL.

IPT is seriously a joke of a subject.... pick up a HSC IPT textbook and anyone remotely tech savvy would see how easy the subject is.

then you'll be fine for IPT anywayz, just keep all of them :) work extremely hard for bio because atm that is your highest scaling subject.

if i do all the subjects (12 units), only my best 10 units get counted for the HSC and ATAR ranking. So for instance even though biology scales high, if i do the worst in it, then it won't be counted.
