What would be in a 3 Unit Maths entrance exam??! (1 Viewer)

Could someone please tell me what sorts of topics are there usually in a 3 unit maths/ extention 1 entrance exam??

I currently go to Fairvale High and in year 10 and the exam in 2 weeks.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I should study?

Lol, i go to your school

They gave us math comp type questions last year. Well, not really, but you needed to think about them (the questions).

All i remember is that there was a question like that farm one in the maths comp this year. There was also a question where you had to sub some number into a physics formula.

As long as you pass, you'll make it in.

Well were there alot of people who failed that test last year?

I kinda of f**ked up during the Maths comp... first ten questions and i thought it was fairly easy then BOOM i died... lol

the test is in 2 weeks time and at 7.30AM WTFFF ...

About a quarter of the people who tried didn't make it in. We currently have a class of around 25/26.

Hmm, maybe redo some past exam papers you did this year. That should be enough. You could also try to ask your teacher for last years paper and see if he/she will give it to you.

Lol, the 7:30 time is to see if you're commited to maths. My maths class have to be at school by 8:00AM every tuesday and thursday for maths (Period 0). Though we get to go home early (around 2:20pm in Period 8). So yeah, expect to be at school early next year.
