Ross Gittens hasn't been writing in the herald for the past month and i heard a rumor that he's taken leave to write a new book, if so that's poor timing with the HSC just around the corner. The herald doesn't even have a replacement economics journalist. Does everyone else here read his articles?

Read Gittins' stuff in The West once a week (we are not blessed with reading him 2-3 times a week over here!!), and whenever it's Irvine instead of Gittins, it says something like "Jessica Irvine is the SMH's Economics Editor whilst Ross Gittins is on leave" does it not??
