My manager at work (currently drives a tuned STI) is looking to get a new car and the following is his shortlist:

BMW M3 E92

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

Porsche Cayman S

(note the above is Cayman R- I couldn't find a suitable photo of the 2011 Cayman S)

I asked this on my Facebook and the response was overwhelmingly the E92 M3 (or failing that, the E90 sedan M3). Curious to hear waht the guys here reckon.

Definitely the M3. Still looks classy, but should also be a blast to drive. Plus I am in love with the interior.

After the recent track day (brought my manager along) he's now considering the e92 335xi (all-wheel-drive model) as it'll be in snowy Canada and driving on ice in a powerful car isn't necessarily the best idea. It's also only about $53k AUD (i.e. less than half the price of the equivalent 335i in Australia).
