omg i've got excel, heinemann and jacaranda. i'm making summaries for project work and they all have different information for the social and ethical issues and prototyping, which textbook actually follows the syllabus?

The heinemann does it pretty okay.

In term of IPT books, theres also the Cambridge Press one.. by Wilson.

Eh I found when it came to summarising best to have the syllabus and all the four text books in front of me at once, so I could madly flick pages. I liked the Heinemann and Cambridge ones best.....

i would recomend

*Heinemann - if ur not interested in ipt, and jus wans 2 pass it.

*Jacaranda - if ur interested in ipt, gr8 for readin lots of info (esp in info boxes).

*study HSC in a month (excel) is a gr8 bk too, but probbly really for close to the HSC exam

*HSC IPT EXCEL is the worst text bk! dont bother gettin it

* the one by wilson i havent read it, as it jus canme out b4 the HSC in 2002. but ive skimmed through it and it looks similar 2 heinemann

hmm i quite didn't likethe jacaranda... some parts were really good, but i thought/found it skipped sections of the syllabus more than the others

yeah jacaranda is crap, it doesn't refer to the syllabus that well, and since half my notes are made up of definitions of stuff, heinemann is the one i mainly use.

seriously, no one txtbk does it all
best is 2 write ur own summary notes collated from all ipt txt bks.
the process mite B long & tirin but at the end it's all worth it, trust me
