Hello,

I am hoping for an ATAR of over 65 (I have used ATAR calculators on the internet however they are unreliable) but I'm not sure how much my marks will need to improve by.

Currently I have just finished my half yearly exams with the following results:
Biology = 80%
Earth and Environmental Science = 87%
Chemistry = 51%
Software Design and Development = 59%
Standard English = 55%

Thanks for reading

Definitely possible to achieve an ATAR of 65% if you improve.

Ranked 1st in one science and last in another?
I'd say you have a pretty good shot if you improve your chem ranks

I can definitely see a 65+ there. Just fix up Chem and you're completely fine.

ATAR calculators use aligned/moderated HSC marks, they don't use your raw marks, that's why you can't really use these calculators until you've actually gotten your HSC results which is the day before you get your ATAR unless you have some idea of what raw marks you've gotten. If you get 51 raw in the chemistry HSC exam, that aligns to like a 79. That's only assuming you do actually get 51 raw in the HSC exam, since HSC and some schools give out marks very differently.
