Example 1: person A is 3rd in the class(out of like 15) with a mark of 85% and 2nd place(Person B) has a mark of 86% 1st place(person A) has a mark of 88% but in externals person A gets a 97 while person B gets a 92 and person C 94. Will person C get the 97 exam mark, person B get the 94 and Person C get the 92 or can it change because the internal marks are so close???

Example 2: Person A had an internal mark of 78% (out of 6 people) and is ranked last. Person B has an internal mark of 85% and is ranked 3rd. If in the HSC exam Person A gets a 94 and person B gets an 84(lowest mark) will person A get the 84 as the exam mark??

Example 1: I'm not too sure because even though they are close, I'm not sure if it's considered "close enough" for BOSTES to give each student his own marks

Example 2: No person A will not get 84 as his exam mark, but rather he will get 84 as his assessment mark which is then averaged with his exam mark which is 94 and then the result will be his "exam mark". You see there's three things you have to know: Exam mark (which is what the student got after aligning), assessment mark (which is the mark that corresponds with his rank) and the HSC mark (which is his final mark).

The exam mark stays the same. Your own exam mark will never change.

The school mark might be 97, 96, 96, depending on the rest of the cohort.

Person A will get 94 for their exam mark and ~84 for their school mark. Their final mark will be around 89.
