should'nt you be talking about the theme of amish vs modern civilisation. a much bigger and more emphasized theme?

those two concepts are pretty much interlinked. because of the amish people's beliefs and ways of living make it appear as the 'good' side whereas 'modern civilisation' is presented as the 'evil' side, seen through the use of guns, violence etc...

if i were you i would discuss these themes separately. the 'good vs. evil' concept can focus on HOW weir portrays this theme (e.g. through the use of props e.g. the gun and costuming, lighting, setting etc)

the amish vs modern civilisation theme can discuss the use of technology e.g. horse and buggy vs. car, agriculture, belief systems and values, the sense of community vs. individualism... :)
