Hi guys I'm organising my school's social..and I need ideas for venues.
Anyone recommend any venues under $100 that allow around 150-250 people . not sit down.

Hey, there's a site called Prom Night Events which our grade used last year, and they actually bundle things for you so it makes everything easy =) your venue, DJ, photographer, food, everything's there. Many choices. Also you get to choose your extras: whether or not you want certain types of decorations, slushie bars, even roses, to name a few. How much of these extras you want determines the final price, and I'm sure most (if not all) of the venues accommodate 150-200 people.

Why does year 11 have a "social"?

It is 3 terms long and doesn't even matter.

Sounds like a total *waste* of money since kids won't be able to do anything fun because it's a school event.

i have no idea how you're gonna get anything for less than $100.. from memory, it cost us boys a grand or two
