Can someone please explain to me how Aquawhite is doing accelerated 2unit and 3unit maths when on July 21st, 2008, he asked what an accelerated subject was?

That was on July 21st, 2008 posted by Aqua

Lol?! In here as well. I posted the reply to this in your own thread about Accelerated mathematics.... anyway this is about UAI estimates.

As I said I would be ecstatic with something 94+ and the general average of the UAI calculators I have found (not to say they are soo reliable AND only estimating and decreasing marks from Year 10) was that I would achieve a UAI of 92.55, if I got that, I'd be very very pleased.

I would be very happy with 95+ for Law/Media at Macquarie. Or even better, 97+ for Law/Journalism at UTS.

Is this realistic? At the moment, fuck no. But it could be if I absolutely work my ass off in year 12. However, my aspirations could change from now until then.

I want my UAI as high as possible: 95-100

If I aim any lower then I'll slacken off, get complacent and fail :)

You don't NEED 95, you want it. There are other ways to get into the course such as tranferals during the course if you are excelling in it. ANU would also have a HSC/UAI points scheme where you could earn some extra points...

I don't really understand how you wouldn't be happy with 95, but ecstatic with 98? It's only 3 UAI points more (but understandably above many others and harder to achieve). It would be great to get 95 though.

Aiming for 100, very happy with anything 98+. But I'll probably [hopefully] end up with 99+ considering. The course I'm aiming for had a cut-off of just above 98, so I should be alright. I hope ==

yeah of course, i could get up to five bonus points for going well in chem or maths, and they're my best two subjects. but i'd rather get in because i have the right uai, makes it more 'achieved' [can't think of the right word - i'm crap at english haha.]

i'd be happy that i got into the course i wanted, but not really happy with the mark. i suppose i should have said i'd be really happy with ninety-eight, and ecstatic if i got above ninety-nine. which probably isn't achievable, but hey.
