Hey Everyone how's it going?

Just thought I'd post this today because, well, it's the day before school starts and the nerves are starting to kick in.

I've never been that good at math and always been a little...well worried about it i guess.

So if there's anyone out there who'd like some help or can provide some advice/ help I would honestly appreciate it tons.

By the way, I'm also taking up Chemistry, French, 3U English and Ancient History so please feel free to post up or send me a message if you're interested in starting a chat group for all this stuff

Hehe, Hi Alex. I think many of us can share in your nerves and worry. It is a little scary to start Year 11 in the first place, but extension maths is a very hard course (makes you really think). Although you say you're not great at maths, you don't have to be really... just a very hard worker with a good study ethic and good memory.

If you like maths... a lot. Then you will enjoy the extension course.

Don't worry - you should be fine.
As for the study group thing - that's a good idea, I myself was the organiser for the HSC study group. But yeah - if you can't manage to form one, just add people from the forum - they'd be happy to help.

I get help from many people on BOS and I also help a fair few amount of people on BOS. If you're interested - if you need any help feel free to pm me or add me on msn and I'd gladly help you with maths as best as I can. That goes for everyone else as well.

You'd have to be. All extension maths topics are challenging to some extent. But can I ask you - have you actually completed the HSC for Ext 1? Or are you just assuming?

im assuming this discussion is about the prelim ext1 maths course...i have finished the prelim maths ext1 course n it was not difficult...i have not started the hsc course so i cannot judge its difficulty.

You guys are convinced ive done the hsc yeah?? WRONG!!! i cannot emphasis enough that i have NOT done the hsc only the preliminary course...i did it from cambridge which has some cross over of hsc n prelim subjects.
