Its a difficult question to answer.

With B Laws, the obvious career destination is lawyer, however given the large number of students doing law degrees nowadays it is increasingly being thought of as a generalist degree much in the same way as B Arts, B Science etc and students pursue any number of career paths eg. journalism and management.

Similarly, B commerce/business is a broad degree and you can usually major in an area you want to perue eg accounting, finance, HR etc.

As laws affect all aspects of business there are of course areas that combine knowledge of business and knowledge of law eg. tax professionals, auditors, investment banking etc.

i always thought if you do biz/ law - you can start up your own biz and you can be a lawyer for it.. cause every business needs one and they eventually cost a fortune..

Good in theory, except a B Bus doesn't qualify you to start your own business any more than any other degree does. Speaking practically, all you'd probably need a lawyer for anyway is the necessary conveyancing and sale/acquisition of the business+assets - everything else could be taken care of by a tax deductible accountant :)

mikael.cfc: the reality is that most graduates end up in one industry or the other. The only real opportunity to combine the two that I can think of is a role as an in-house counsel - and good luck getting one of those jobs before you've been qualified for 3 years.

Question.

Which occupation that combines the knowledge of the two courses generally have the highter salary?

Another question. Which one of those jobs have the best work/life balance?

Answer. You're begging for absurd generalisations.

You're looking for the answer to complex and long-term problems by making one decision at one point in time. It doesn't work that way.
