yeah i've done that so far, but i dunno how the tutorials and labs will fill up and stuff though.

I'll probably go in and wait in line anyway...any excuse to get out of work :p

I've also checked out the lecture/tutorial times and there seems to be a clash between two of my subjects. However, there's no alternative time offered. What would happen in that case?

you'll have to go to one or the other. your best bet would be to go to the tute and try get some notes off someone from that lecture.

They're both lectures. Maybe I can just alternate or something ..

One is a class for my core unit (I think that's what it's called) & one is a junior unit choice which I chose.

(I hope that made sense!)

you can login into the central timetabling uni and "figure out" your timetable for yourself.

I did mine last year :)

procedure:
goto myuni
click on the tab "my study"
click on the link "login to central timetabling unit"
punch in your subject codes and the timetable will show up.

I use it all the time, cos my engineering/arts degree calls for clashes-o-rama!
Thanks for that- had no idea you could see that stuff.

You can either alternate - turn up to one lecture one week, and the other lecture the next week.

Or you could think about changing your elective.

im hoping that the senior chem labs don't fuck my timetable up. senior chem, from what i gather, let's you choose labs regardless of what the timetable system assigns, or it doesnt assign them at all. as in, you get to come in any day of the week between 1-5 and do your labs in that time. however, if they attempt to timetable it in it could stuff over everything :(

Apparently, my timetable this semester is going to look like this:
Monday 10AM - 3PM (1hr break)
Tuesday 10AM - 2PM (with a 2hr break, wth!)
Wednesday 10AM - 2PM (no break)
Thursday 10AM - 1PM (no break)

I think I'm just going to skip tuesday's lectures

For those confused about when Sydney University Timetables come out

This is taken from a pamphlet taken from the Student Centre @ Sydney Uni. I hope this clears most questions up about uni timetables

"Semester 1 timetables will be released from Monday 23 February. You can access your timetable and also make limited changes under the MyAdmin tab in MyUni. Once you view your timetable, it is recommended that you print several copies as any subsequent viewing of your timetable in MyUni may reallocate all of your classes. It is not possible to revert to a previous timetable once your classes have been reallocated"

Also
"It is possible to make limited changes to your timetable via MyUni. Some departments restrict changes that may be made"

For everyone but Economics and Business students
"Staff assisted timetable changes can be made in Lab LG31, Madsen building
23 Feb- 6 Mar: 9:30-4" (except weekends)

For Economics and Business Students
"Changes in timetabling can be made in Computer Lab 175 Merewether Building
23 Feb- 13 Mar
Mon, Wed, Fri- 9:30-4:30
Tue, Thur: 9:30-7
