Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

Lol i wish i could gain weight.

I weigh approximately 60kgs and it doesn't matter what i eat, i don't gain weight at all. It's not like I a) only eat one meal a day or b) only eat healthy, organic stuff.

Might have to head to the gym.

Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

^ Mr Ballesteros - Your an ectomorph. going to the gym and doing heavy training will only work if you have a sufficient amount of protein, calories and carbs. Your diet is the most important thing. First off look at how many calories you eat a day, and then keep upping it until you find the number where you can gain weight. The two most important things you need to increase are carbs and proteins, especially carbs, because your body burns carbs first and since it burns it off easier then most people, if you don't have sufficient carbs, you can eat all you want and your body will still burn the protein and fat off. After you find your starting to gain weight, slowly up your protein and intake as well and then start to hit the gym hard and then you will see a real increase in mass. You can also supplement your diet with creatine and protein powder if your looking to really bulk up.

Just restrict eating, but not cut meals. Have food in small quantities and eat more times each day. Excercise alot and you will be fine.

Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

i've been trying to lose weight since Year 7 - I am now in Year 11.

In year 7, I was 1.62m and 75kg. With much exercise, not really altering eating habits as such, and a lot of determination, I am now 60kg and 1.82m. In the 6 week holiday break, since I had a lot more time up my sleeve, I lost 5kg, so I'm doing quite well = )

I feel much better, I can move better, and I've got far more confidence now! :D

Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

My house mates are chinese and they are skinny as, and only under 50kg...they are naturally like that...so jealous lol

Jenny craig is so expensive! Its like $500 if you want to be a lifetime member and have all consults for life, and then its like $130 a wk on top of that for all your meals.

But having seen that lose 10kg for $10, thats doable for me i think.....

Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

Hey guys, if anyone wants a "lose weight build muscle" guide, i would be happy to help :D
I've lost about 20Kg in 2months and replaced that yucky fat with a bit of muscle... well, i've become toned. AND I HAVE ABS!
AFTER YEARS OF BEING CALLED PUMPKIN and FATTY BOOM BOOM
i can now happily say, f@$! YOU ALL.

but yeh, losing weight is all about what you eat!!!
You can do 0 amount of exercise and lose heaps of weights... well <-- unhealthy

So... i might as well just give a guide to my program (6 weeks i lost 13KG)

IT WHAT YOU EAT!

I wake up every morning at 5am, and the only exercise i do is
20MINUTE INTENSITY RUN (PARK OR TREADMILL) YOU RUN AND MAKE YOUR HEART THUMP...:D

Ok i do that and also every second day i do light weights/free weights etc...

MY DIET: HIGH PROTEIN LOW CARB
Breakfast- Protein shake and Banana OR 3 Boiled Eggs, only whites
Reccess- Any fruit
Lunch- Tuna salad/ Chicken breast/ any meat (JUST EAT SOME PROTEIN)tuna is best in my opinion.

Get home- eat mums dinner or wateva

Last meal- Protein Shake

(I lost 15kg by eating under 1500 calories a day, with 20min run a day)

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

Re: Are YOU trying to lose weight?

My gut feeling, which has never been wrong, tells me this will be a difficult year. And where there is stress, there is loss of weight. I don't think I'll need to be trying to lose weight for a while.
