I would not recommend these.
a bit out of my price range......ideally i just want a bike i can thrash around for my Ls and Ps and then upgrade later
There's no such thing as a hyosung 600
The suzuki sv650 is a new $10'000 motorcycle... There are no used learner legal models on the market.

also, just wondering where is the best place to buy motorbikes?
should i go to a dealer (because im a newbie) and get warranty and stuff...or try to find a bargain from websites like bikepoint, ebay, gumtree.... i dont wanna end up with a dud.

The website can be trusted. They're located in Seven Hills, you are welcome to visit them and check out the bikes. I currently own a Yamaha FZX250 Zeal, and a LAMS Suzuki SV650s, which were both purchased from MD. I also have a friend who rides an SV600s on his P's.
Graney perhaps you should put some ideas forward in regards to motorcycles you recommend instead of spewing your ignorance all over the thread.
Only difference between the LAMS 650 and the standard is the ECU mapping.
A different pipe would deem it Learner Legal.

Did you buy it new? Does it have LAMS on the rego sticker? I'm guessing not.

This post has the correct answers to everything.
You don't understand anything.
It has to be complied as a LAM's bike. Only the models that were restricted by suzuki, and were complied and sold new in restricted form, are learner legal. A LAM's SV650 was only introduced for sale this year. The bike in the sale ad is one of the old, first generation SV650's. You can not modify a non-lams bike into a LAM's bike. The RTA does not allow for this.

How did they check it was learner legal? Did they dyno it for you? On the RTA dyno?
Nope. No dyno. I provided a letter from Western Motorcycles, and receipts, which explained the modifications made (mainly pipe) so that the power to weight ratio meets LAM requirements.
