Well I've been at a single sex school through all of High School...
Really didn't bother me coz I know that academically, the lack of guys meant I was able to focus.
Would have been schweet going co-ed, BUT I would be so distracted. INSANELY distracted.
not true

i've been to co-ed all my life and all my friends are very focussed
it's not like all co-ed people are just doing it all day

Same here. I'm not exactly the socialising type IRL, so coed wouldn't present that much distraction to me.

co-ed coz it's just better (single sex is not always academically the best as JRAHS is co-ed!)

Personally, I'm more of a single-sex school person. I just find it's more relaxed and you can focus on the work more.

Don't think it really matters actually. I guess it's good to start learning to deal with people from all walks of life (gender, backgrounds, personalities etc,) when you are young. I've gone to coed school my whole life. I don't have any desire to go to an all girls (don't think they have one near me). Don't think I'd dislike it though.

I used to go to a co-ed school, now I go to an all-boys school. From my experience we got no work done at the coed school, and I believe all of the smart people were being held back.

Now at the all-boy school we get alot of work done, and people socialise with girls form the nearby all girls-school after school anyway.

I dont thing single-sex is bad socially at all. In fact, I think its better for you to learn how to work when you need to in school, and learn to socialise when you have time after school.

By the way, If you take one look at the top 20 performing schools in the HSC, the majority are single sex (I know JRAHS is an exception), and that says something about the quality of education.

<my opinion>

Girls work better in a single sex school
Boys work better in a co-ed school.

are u retarded? a co-ed school could have more boys than a single sex school LOL.

i guess cant help it since ur only doing ext 1 math..... or cuz ur too gay! :p
It might numbers wise, but proportionally, it wouldn't.
Besides - for me, any female company is good company.

Also academically, I find I work better in a co-ed environment (tutor) compared to school (which is single sex from Years 5-12).

Trust me, eight years of all boys education is not good for you.

The only upside is the amount of dirty/sexist jokes you can make at school.
