zeppelin hardly qualify as 60s...

Maybe he thinks Led Zeppelin I and II are the best albums of the 60's? My personal favourites Physical Graffiti, III, IV in that order fall in the seventies so hence I pick them in the 70's

Anyway Mine:

60's: The Doors
70's: Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd
80's: The Whole bay area
90's: Pearl Jam
00's: Porcupine Tree

yeah fair enough, but i just find it silly to call them 60s because one or two of their albums were released then. they're pretty much the most quinessential 70s rock band.

yeah, agreed, it's the same thing with the same guy you pointed out Iron Maiden as the best band of the 70's, their first record was Iron Maiden in 1980.
