if you plan on doing a mathematics degree, then perhaps it would be a good idea.

if you want to do a creative writing degree, then unless you want to creatively write mathematics papers, probably not.

go onto the uac website and look up the course. it will give you all the info you need.

i'd recommend doing a bridging course though, to make life much easier for you.

nar pretty sure u wont actually need it for IT, there are alot of ppl who didnt do maths at all and most of the maths you need will be taught/ u can relearn wehn you do the course.

Bridging courses don't help that much anyway. And yes, you do need maths (also reinforced with the fact that the UAC handbook tells you).
