Gotta love stress eating - I downed almost a whole bag of red licorice tonight cos I was behind schedule on my English assessment
That's why I confine my stress eating to plain salt corn chips :p

Okay normally I'd bag the crap out of you for burning out.. But I'm in the same boat atm.
Fuck my life.
Only difference being that I had my Physics exam TODAY. So bummed about it. Gonna take a few days break and get back into it. If I can't then GG.

I have exams in two weeks and im totally out of it. I have an english essay due tomorrow and i havent started and dont want to. I sit down, start taking down notes and then fall asleep. I just gave a 6 page essay in!!. Give me a fucking break. All my subjects are keeping me fucking busy. I just feel like dropping out of school and fulfilling my life long dream of becoming a successful pro boxer:rofl:. But, you just have to be reasonable and know it should do you good at the end. I swear to god if i do shit in these exams im going to go haywire.

I don't know if it works well or not, but I find having a logical discussion with myself and pointing out why I should study really helps...or maybe it's just the first sign of madness?

thanks guys, im trying so hard but i just feel so unmotivated. so over worked.
im sure everyones feeling the same way
i hsould just suck it up! URGH!
i frustrate myself so much.

i have legal on monday, and im ranked 2nd in my class.
I really should be staying there, but i have no notes, and everytime i sit down i burst into tears.

i have never "burnt out" before.
I tried to make a time table, i even went to the lib today
all i did was stare at my books and write "notes" without taking anything in for 2 hours before i gave up.

omg. im freaking out.
If you have no notes you are going to have to download some just to read over. If you are stressed just go out for a night (tonight), party then get laid, then once you are over your hangover the next day, start reading over the notes you downloaded. They are only half yearlie's. What are they worth 10% of your HSC? don't worry. If you rank in the top 5-8 at the end of the year thats pretty damn decent. The school will "tweak" your marks andyway so you go better anyway.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT.......Not until the actual HSC.......Then fucking worry

Yeah, you really need to calm down. Burning out is usual. Just remember if the exam is only worth 20% then really its only worth 10% of ur HSC. Just keep the studying up slowly... the teachers wont expect you to remember everything... Just start preparing now for other assessments and your trials....

Sarah, the same thing happened to me in Year 12 sweetie.

I was dux of Year 11, would've easily gotten a UAI of 95+ and was so motivated.

I became really burnt out after the first Term of last year, just after my mid-course exams. I couldn't be bothered doing anything related to schoolwork and my marks dropped dramatically between mid-course and trials.

I didn't do anywhere near as much work as you've been but it wasn't necessary for me, I had a natural ability in my subjects. At the end of the day, I got a UAI of 81.40, which isn't fantastic but it was enough for what I wanted to do.

My advice? Don't stress, take a few deeps breaths (trust me, it helps) and just do the best you can. These exams don't count for much in your overall HSC mark so don't worry if your marks aren't as good as you'd like them to be. There's so much time between mid-course and trial exams for you to get back into your study rhythm.

Like others have suggested, try the timetable and rewards idea. It worked for me when I decided I actually gave a shit about my HSC. :D

If you need anymore help, feel free to PM me, even if I am at work. :)
